Recent Projects

JW Marriott Grosvenor House London

Stephen Mangan

In 2025, Calum created a live portrait on stage at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London. Commissioned by Beyond Media Services, the performance took place during the Security & Fire Awards for Excellence, with the portrait depicting the evening’s host, actor Stephen Mangan. The work was completed live in front of an audience of over one thousand people.

Scottish National Portrait Gallery

Nicola Benedetti

As winner of the nationally televised competition ‘Sky Portrait Artist of the Year’ in 2021, Calum was commissioned by the Scottish National Portrait Gallery to paint violin supremo Nicola Benedetti. The painting now hangs as part of the permanent collection on display in Edinburgh.

Glasgow City Council

Philip Braat

In 2023, Calum was commissioned by Glasgow City Council to produce a civic portrait of the then Lord Provost of Glasgow, as part of the city’s tradition of recording office-holders. The painting entered the Glasgow Civic Collection and was displayed in the City Chambers.

The portrait has since been removed from public display following later events unrelated to the commission. Decisions regarding its display sit with the commissioning body.

Surrey County Cricket Club

Richard Thompson

In 2022 Calum was approached regarding a special surprise portrait commission for the then Chairman of Surrey County Cricket Club, Richard Thompson. The portrait was unveiled at the world famous Oval cricket arena in London where it now proudly hangs.
